Summer on the Beach

It's Sunday and time for a new challenge over on the One Stitch At A Time blog here.  The challenge this week is to see you create something that's 'Not Square'. Lots of ideas there, ovals, circles, and rectangles can be used.

Our lovely sponsor this week is Creative Craft World and they are offering a choice of three Promarkers if your project is chosen and you have used an image from the Stitchy Bear's Digi Outlet.

If you use a Stitchy Bear image, please help our Choccy to find you by placing the hash sign (#) after your name. There are over 4,000 digi images to choose from and you will be spoilt for choice. You may enter into the challenge as many times as you like as long as it is a 'Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet' image.  But, if you choose to use a non-Stitchy image, your entries will be limited to three.  You must link to our blog and it must be new created after our blog challenge goes live.

We are also having a Design Team call, can you:-

Submit two creations a month.
Have an active blog
Enjoy working with digi images
Comment on two out of ten challenge entries every week?

If so, please contact our lovely Choccy on choccy.oona@gmail.com and tell her about you and please include a link to your blog.  We are a mixed abilities team and a very happy little crowd and we have our own way of keeping in touch and encouraging each other.

For my card this week I chose to use Delicious Doodles - Beach Huts.

The image reminded me so much of the beach huts at Southwold in Suffolk and also on Mersea Island that I can see from my window (with good binoculars!). Can you remember the sand getting into your sandwiches if the wind blew the wrong way.  Many years ago good friend and I used to pile the kids and dogs into our old Morris Minor Estate and head off down to Dymchurch for the day. Great times.

I cut the base card with a Spellbinders Grand Labels Twenty-Three and covered it with a digi image from Pink Petticoat Stripes Collection available here. The print reminds me of deck chair stripes.  The image I've coloured with Flexmarkers and mounted it on a further two die cuts of green and blue from the same Spellbinders dies.  The sentiment is from a collection by Create with TLC called Hello Summer and was perfect.

I'd like to enter the following:-
