Blooming hard work!!

It's an age since I last blogged, life and family have taken up most of my time just lately.  This is the last of the birthday cards for April.  I must try and find another theme for this month but these sweet images are so easy to use.

During April my boss at work asked me  to go to a local wholesale flower nursery and buy plants to fill the display gardens (11 beds in all) as we are have important visitors in June, no pressure then!!  I had a look back at the previous plans and they had taken over 3,000 plants. (Groan! said my back) Pen and paper in hand I duly bought the first lot of bedding plants and with some brilliant help they are all in place.  I've had to go back and get a lot more and I'm off back to work tomorrow (Monday) to get cracking on the rest.  Here's a couple of photos of the garden a couple of weeks ago.  I'm praying for some decent rain to bring them on.  We've been lucky as the rabbits/hares have only nibbled the lobelia, it will be war if they touch the fuchsias.  If the planting works, well then, brilliant! If it doesn't, well then, quite obviously, I didn't have a clue!!  I'll post more pictures as we get the rest in.  My other half fixed me up with a pedometer to measure the distance between where we store the plants away from the rabits and hares and the gardens, I was walking about 5k a day.  It has certainly helped the diet!
