My OH and I flew to Canada on Christmas Day to spend some time with my son, DIL and my three gorgeous grandchildren. I'd had a serious fall on the ice three days before flying but BA were brilliant in getting a wheelchair available for me. Terminal 5 at Heathrow is huge and there is absolutely no way I could have walked through there. Being in a chair and being pushed by Heathrow staff meant we got priority all the way with being first in the queue. Great stuff!!

The faces on my grandchildren when we turned up will stay with me forever as they knew nothing about us coming. We had a fabulous time in Canada, we stayed over in Niagara Falls and had a suite with a view of the Falls whilst we sat up in bed watching the light show. It was -13 degrees during the day we were there. The CN Tower is amazing and it was a cold but beautiful clear day and we could see for miles and I walked acroos the glass floor. Parts of Lake Ontario were frozen, just a wonderful sight.

I met up with some Canadian Red Hatters who took my DIL and myself to 'Hgh Tea at The White House. Wonderful tea rooms owned by an English lady who is a tea master. The White House had a wonderful range of teas and the cake stand was an amazing site with gorgeous sandwiches, cakes and wonderful Devon scones with real Devon cream (checked the label on the jar!!)
