Two in a day - whatever next!

A smashing friend is having a birthday this week. She's the kind of person who will have you in fits of laughter within 5 minutes of being in her company and I know she will understand the sentiment in more ways than one.

I've used a sheet of old French script, bought in a kit from Pink Petticoat, as the background and pasted the vintage image of the three ladies over the top in my graphics program. This image came from, I believe, the Graphics Fairy, if you know please put me right. The lovely corset stamp is from Stampendous and the tiny sentiment came with the Vintage Corsetry stamp set from Creative Expressions. I'm in love with the Spellbinders Labels 28 that I've used to die cut the stamped image,  I know I'll be using those again. Some flowers from stash and the little bronze leaves have been recycled from a Christmas table decoration, they were too lovely to throw away.  The outer edge of the card, the die cuts and the flowers were inked with Tea Dye distress ink.

Pop over to the OSAAT challenge blog and check out the crations from the Design Team.

For my card I chose a digi stamp called Catlady by Pookie Designs. Isn't she glamerous and love the cat too.

I've coloured her with a mixture of Promarkers and Copic pens.  The image is mounted onto a piece of Embossed white paper but looks creamy in this shot. I've had fun decorating the card with Memory Box and Spellbinders die cuts.

Something Different

It was our great-niece's birthday a few weeks ago and shw two years old, where has the time gone???? This is the card I made for her as I wanted something a little different after all the Christmas makes.

The birdcage came from Craftwork Cards and was in their sale at the time and I've used some flowers from their Bohemian paper kit. The die-cut birds are from Spellbinders.

Birthday Girl No. 2

It's was our sweet Laceys birthday last week and this is the card we sent.

I've used another gorgeous image from Mo's Digital Pencil and this is called Jo Painting, isn't she lovely. I've used a mixture of Copics and Promarkers to colour the edge of the card and the image and used a Spellbinders Square to cut it out.  The background paper, I think, I've had for a couple of years so no idea of the name, (if anyone recognises it, please let know)  I used the Memory Box die - Catalina Wreath and cut it in half and I've made up a Memory Box Cherry Blossom as well.  The little stalk just below the flower are from the Memory Box Prim Poppy. The sentiment is one from Craftwork Cards

A new challenge at One Stitch at a Time

It's time for a new challenge at One Stitch At A Time and the theme is Green. This can be the colour green or you can go green and recycle some object on your creation, please let us know in your post. The sponsor for this week's challenge is our very own Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps

You are welcome to enter our challenge using a Stitchy Bear Digital stamp as many times as you like and you have the opportunity to win a prize of $9 to spend in the store. Only three entries will be allowed using a non Stitchy Bear Digital Stamp and these will be placed in a draw for $3 to spend on the gorgeous range of stamps.

For my tag this week I chose this beautiful image by one of our new designers, BB Kakes and you can find her here, she is called St Pats Holiday bundle. In this bundle are lots of St Patricks Day images to use.

I wanted to show all the shamrocks in the design so I've kept the rest of the colouring quite soft and pale. I've just added some lace, a curled flower and some embossing on the tag. Sadly, my photograph doesn't do justice to this lovely image.  I can't wait for some sunshine in the garden.

My granddaughter's birthday

It was our granddaughter Lucy's birthday in February and here's the card I made for her.

The image is Teen Fairy Pia fro Mo's Digital Pencil. I've coloured her with a mixture of Copics and Promarkers.  the frame around the image is from spellbinder and I've added my favourite Memory Box die.  The ivory cherry blossom flowers have been treated a mixture of a Copic pen and loads of Cosmic Shimmer Mist.
